You can renew from two months before and to four months after the expiration of your maintenance contract. Renewal adds twelve months to the current expiration date. For example, if your contract expires on January 1, 2023, and you renew on February 1, 2023, the new expiration date will be January 1, 2024. NOTE: Indie 1.0 and Indie Presale licenses will have until July 1st, 2024 to renew and their new maintenance period will end July 1st, 2025, regardless of the actual date of renewal.

Upgrading from two months before to four months after your contract's expiration is treated as a renewal, extending the contract for twelve months from the current expiration date. Upgrades made at other times while your maintenance contract is active will immediately convert your license and start a new twelve-month maintenance period from the date of the upgrade.
